Reviews
Osteria with typical cuisine with a strong emphasis on local products.
The restaurant is always open for lunch, while for dinner a reservation of at least 4-5 people is required.
Most of the appetizers are homemade (including salami) as well as the fresh pasta that is served with the first courses: honorable mention for the pisarei which are among the best in the whole of Val Trebbia.
Even with desserts the quality is kept high (unfortunately I never managed to get to the second courses).
The quality-quantity-price ratio has very few equals and the restaurant also enjoys a splendid view over the whole of the Val Boreca.
The staff is very kind and helpful.
Mandatory destination!
OK
I was there in 2022: the food was delicious and plentiful, the staff very helpful and the place beautiful and welcoming. If you ever end up in those parts (for example taking a bath at the Trebbia in nearby Ottone) I highly recommend a stop in this tavern!
A municipality of 71 inhabitants, far from the main streets, can boast an excellent restaurant, managed with great professionalism and kindness.
Really friendly prices and abundant cuisine, with dishes that combine the traditions of Piacenza with those of Liguria.
It is worth going there, both for the excellent culinary experience and to discover a municipality that deserves so much tourism and consideration.
Searching on Google Maps I discovered this place on the mountains of Val Boreca 850 m asl. We had lunch outdoors, sunny autumn day, splendid panoramic view towards the Malaspina Tower of Zerba. Excellent food, pleasant service and good wine. I will definitely come back.
Enchanting place, simple traditional dishes, generous portions, honest price (18€ each)... Too bad there was too much salt used!
The menu is entirely based on local and seasonal products, the first courses are tasty but easily digestible, as the second course in our group we only had the roast but it was worth it. Personally, I recommend a mix of cured meats and cheeses as a starter (the bacon is excellent, but the lard with honey and walnuts is spectacular) and a second or trio of first courses.
The place is very characteristic as it is the historic shop of Zerba, the view of the valley is breathtaking.
However, if you have any complaints, ask them directly to the chef, who is as good as he is physically imposing... 😜
Good lunch with a fixed menu, everything homemade even the pasta of a size that collects the sauce perfectly. The chef told us that he made it himself.
